The Art of Living Wild is a six week journey into what it means to embody one's wild feminine nature. It is a journey for those who are interested in living an authentic life; a life that is rooted deeply in nature and in the soul.
Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, author of Women Who Run With the Wolves, writes:
Where does wild woman live? At the bottom of the well, in the headwaters, in the ether before time. She lives in the tear and in the ocean. She lives in the cambria of trees, which pings as it grows. She is from the future and from the beginning of time.
The wild woman, that is to say, all that is natural, wild and free, is found within every woman on this earth. Wild woman is never far away, but it can be easy to forget about her. We forget about her when we put ourselves last, when we say no to the hike, when we hide in the corner and when we no longer remember what it feels like to dance.
In this course, we'll be asking four questions:
When did we stop singing?
When did we stop dancing?
When did we stop telling stories?
When did we forget to embrace stillness?
When we can address these questions, we start to reclaim wild woman. We start to give ourselves the gift of honoring our soul's calling, instead of letting all the other things that beckon to us overshadow our deepest desires.

Melissa Kirby is a Sioux Falls, South Dakota based yoga teacher. Her perspective on health and creative spirit have led to a life-long pursuit inspiring people to reach their full potential through passionate and mindful living.
She embraces traditional teaching and living yoga from sun to moon, wild to sublime, and fullness to simplicity and believes yoga is a way to approach life with fluidity, strength, and gratitude. Her classes are breath inspired and are an artful blend of alignment, attention, and creativity —nourishing body, mind, spirit, and heart.
Heidi Barr lives near the St. Croix River Valley in Minnesota with her husband and daughter where they tend a large organic vegetable garden, explore nature and do their best to live simply.
As a mother, spouse, gardener, and writer, she is committed to cultivating ways of being that are life-giving and sustainable for people, communities and the planet. She loves putting words together to paint pictures of ideas, as well as walking with others as they explore what it means to live well on a finite planet. Hiking through forests and across prairies, wading in streams, digging in the soil and surrounding herself with natural wonder help her stay grounded in reality.
A graduate of Northland College with a degree in Environmental Studies and Community Organization in 2005, Lindsey has spent most of her adult life living in community and cultivating a land-based and wellness-focused existence. After a couple of post-graduation garden seasons as an intern, she set out to travel and continue her life studies – a journey that led her all over the U.S. and Central America. She lived and worked on many organic farms, ever increasing her love and appreciation for communal life and sustainable practices. She studied massage therapy and other holistic healing modalities in the Southwest – tapping into her own sense of wellbeing and how to share that with others. For four years, she lived and served at Shoshoni Yoga Retreat – a residential yogic ashram in the mountains of Colorado where she became a certified yoga instructor, meditation teacher, and Ayurvedic practitioner. Her teaching is inspired by and guided by her own teacher, Sri Shambhavanada, of the Shambhava School of Yoga.
